Call to Order
Melissa Backscheider called the meeting to order at 7:43p.m. in Classroom 3 at The Christ Hospital.
Secretary’s Report
The minutes from the May 11, 2010 were approved as corrected.
Treasurer’s Report
Nancy Hellman reported a checking account balance of $6,090.88, and a saving account balance of $14,035.63.
National Correspondence
Melissa Backscheider reported that there was no national correspondence.
Committee Reports
Priscilla Moeller stated that the educational portion of the September meeting would be “Self-Defense Tactics” by Sergeant Spunky and Corporal Edwards, officers from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department. This topic is re-scheduled from March 2010.
Priscilla reported that the October educational portion would feature Dr. Gregory Zenni speaking on Varicose Vein Treatments
Ways & Means
Lindsay McLaughlin presented information on a possible fund raiser using Premier Design Jewelry. It was decided that she would bring catalog to the September meeting and that a short presentation and sales orders would be taken during the social portion (6-6:30 pm) of the October meeting.
Rick Goedde stated that there were only 5 foursomes signed up for the upcoming golf outing, and that more golfers would be very helpful. He said that he only had 6 door prizes to date and that tee-time was 12 noon.
Membership
Lois Belton stated that she was in the process of gathering the names of the local nursing schools to be used as a possible recruitment for student nurse membership in the organization.
New Business
Lois Belton suggested to the members present a service project for the summer months. She asked that during the summer months, the members collect hotel personnel care items/toiletries during vacations. These items would be collected at the September meeting and given to the drop-center. It was also suggested that the Ronald McDonald house and the Hamilton County juvenile detention center also be considered possible sites for donations. Melissa Backscheider asked Kathy Wolfer to utilize the e-mail distribution list to send out flyers about the service project to the Chapter’s members.
Melissa Backscheider presented Linda Rulon with a clock/plaque as a thank you gift for serving as the Chapter president for two years.

The next Chapter meeting will be on September 12, 2010 in Classroom 3 at The Christ Hospital.
The next Board of Director’s meeting will be on September 28, 2010 at the Tri-County Ruby Tuesdays, at 5:30 p.m
